A programme of a capella choral music from one of London’s leading chamber choirs, AMORE presents songs of love from down the centuries – celebrating the bitter-sweet nature of romantic yearning. From delight to bitterness, from the beautifully refined to the downright coarse, AMORE includes traditional folksongs, courtly madrigals, romantic part songs and twentieth century popular classics - something for anyone who has experienced the joy, and pain, of love.
With music by Purcell, Monteverdi, Lassus, Elgar, Whitacre Irving Berlin and Lennon and McCartney. AMORE is the latest irresistible incarnation of CML’s tradition of early evening midweek concerts at its home in Exmouth Market, Clerkenwell.
