The subject of light – in all its manifestations – has been inspirational for composers for centuries. Collegium Musicum of London has created a sparkling programme of celestial harmononies for a September evening of illuminated music-making, featuring works by Tallis, Purcell, Haydn, Elgar, Stanford, Sullivan and Parry, together with more than a few popular surprises.
