Andrzej Zawadzki, born in Bydgoszcz
Poland in 1987, first started to play the piano at 5 years of age. At
13, he entered the National Arthur-Rubinstein Music Academy in
Bydgoszcz.
After
having finished his studies in 2006, Andrzej Zawadzki continued his
studies by visiting Tadeusz Chmielewski's classes at the University of
Music in Łódź and by taking masterclasses at the Royal Welch College of
Music and Drama in Cardiff with Richard McMahon, and at the ArtEZ
Conservatory Arnhem with Frank Peters.
His
first public success was a solo recital in front of the Chopin memorial
in Warsaw. He has been performing with soprano Joanna Łubkowska since
2009. In August 2010 he gave a recital of music by Chopin and
Rachmaninov in Basel Switzerland, and in the same year a concert at the
Łódź Philharmonic Hall. His main repertoire includes pieces by Frédéric
Chopin, Maurice Ravel, Sergej Rachmaninov and Alexander Skrjabin, as
well as Franz Liszt and the polish composer Miłosz Magin.
