BlogMorocco has invested billions of dollars in the advancement of its southern provinces (also Western Sahara), as underscored in the recent report of the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, Morocco’s Ambassador to the UN Omar Hilale. Tiny villages, Dakhla and Laayoune are today large cities with progressive infrastructure, an information also noted by the same report. In a statement, the Un Secretary General mentioned particularly that the Moroccan Sahara continues to benefit from substantial public investment, mainly in terms of road and port infrastructure.
