The Managing Director and CEO of the Electricity and Water Authority in Dubai (DEWA) has announced that they will put in Dh30 billion to raise the power of Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park.

Being one of the biggest renewable energy projects in the region with an intended capacity of 1,000MW by 2019 and an outlay of Dh12 billion. At the moment, the park is producing 13 mega watts (MW) of electricity and by the time of its completion some time in 2030, the park will be able to produce 3,000MW at Dh30 billion.
