Morocco is on track of investing €1 billion in port improvements, €350 of which will be expended on new installations at Casablanca.

 The remaining €750m has been allocated to construct a 3m teu capacity box terminal at Nador, situated near to the Spanish enclave of Melilla.

Other new facilities will allow 25m tons of petroleum to be operated, seven million tons of coal and three million tons of general cargo. New infrastructure will be constructed by the publicly-owned company Nador West Med.

Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), which is the largest MICE venue operator in the region, revealed plans to construct a 15,500 square metre expansion.


The plan will consider the available multipurpose indoor event and exhibition facility and capacity to more than 122,000 square metres in the course of a continued increase in demand for new shows.

Abu Dhabi developer of Saadiyat Island, Tourism Development & Investment Company (TDIC) has revealed the commencement of a new residential community in the Saadiyat Beach District.

The development project is also known as Jawaher Saadiyat, will be a gated community having a total of 83 units as well as a number of four, five and six-bed villas and four-bed townhouses. It will be based on the edge of the Gary Player-designed golf course and will be close to both the Manarat Al Saadiyat exhibition centre and the Cranleigh Abu Dhabi school.

The Dubai Metro will be expanded by 15 kilometres, with seven new stations leading to the location of Expo 2020 and 4km of underground rail.

Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, was approved the Route 2020 project for the Metro Red Line and directed that the construction will begin right away.
