BlogToday is World Tuberculosis Day March 24th - 2015! World Tuberculosis Day, falling on March 24th each year, is designed to build public awareness that tuberculosis today remains an epidemic in much of the world, causing the deaths of nearly one-and-a-half million people each year, mostly in developing countries. It commemorates the day in 1882 when Dr Robert Koch astounded the scientific community by announcing that he had discovered the cause of tuberculosis, the TB bacillus. At the time of Koch's announcement in Berlin, TB was raging through Europe and the Americas, causing the death of one out of every seven people. Koch's discovery opened the way towards diagnosing and curing TB. The main sub-theme and message for this year will be
"Reach, Treat, Cure everyone" For World Tuberculosis Day 2015, partners will continue to call for a global effort to find, treat and cure all people with TB and accelerate progress towards the bold goal of ending TB by 2035. The fight against tuberculosis requires coordinated
global action and continued support. Support greater action and coordination in

The theme of the fifth edition of the Annual Investment 2015 will be focused on “Sustainable Development through FDI Induced Innovation and Technology Transfer”. The event will be held from 30 March – 1 April 2015 at the Dubai international Convention and Exhibition Center. The day is observed to fetch attention to the need of conserving safe drinking water as well as looking for solutions to provide safe drinking water to people around the world. Each year World Water Day highlights a specific aspect of freshwater. This year’s theme for WWD is to provide an important opportunity to consolidate and build upon the previous World Water Days to highlight water's role in the sustainable development agenda.
